Basement Cleanup and Mold Removal
Steady small leaks in the walls, and some sewage backup over time caused this brown staining in this basement. After a mold test was run by SERVPRO of Society Hill, the results came back with mold that needed to be removed. First the walls along with the ground were scrubbed down with a special soap , to remove as much of the brown spotting as possible. Followed by some power washing to remove what was left. After all the areas were dried from the cleaning, it was time to coat the walls and floors with a waterproof/mold deter-ant paint. Not only will it keep the water from leaking in, but also prevent mold from growing because of a safe chemical in the paint. The homeowners were more then satisfied with the results of the basement once SERVPRO had completed the job. The once brown walls were cleaned up and covered over.
